While the Brooks Women’s Glycerin 16 Road Running Shoe is notable for many positive features, what stands out most is the supreme level of comfort it offers.
Running, and particularly long-distance forms of it, absolutely demand comfort. If not, you’re not going to be able to perform your best and reach the goals you’ve set out for yourself quite as quickly and we don’t want that!
The plush pair provide an incredibly indulgent ride that includes a great amount of cushioning and support, even when you’ve run out of juice.
While words don’t do them justice, we found ourselves hard-pressed to find a pair that could compare in this regard.
The only downside to the signature LOFT cushioning is that it does weigh the shoe down ever so slightly, which for some runners isn’t an issue. What it adds in weight, it makes up for in responsiveness and durability.

We’ve all unfortunately had the experience of our feet being sweaty and muggy. It’s an instantly uncomfortable feeling that not only increases the risk of creating hot spots, but can also make the fit “off”. With that being said, it’s extremely important that your feet stay dry and comfortable from the first to the last step of your run. The easiest way to do this is to opt for an upper comprised of mesh, or a model that has well-located holes to let moisture and heat escape. This also helps to prevent foul odors and lowers the chance of bacteria growing. Each one of us has a foot “type”. If you don’t know what yours is, then you may want to keep on reading.
